The studio
WE DON'T PREDICTTHE FUTURE.WE EXPLOREALTERNATIVE FUTURES.
We are a collective of restless minds operating at the intersection of Strategic Foresight, Speculative Design and Storytelling. What drives us is not prediction — it's expanding the field of possibilities before the market does it for you.
The origin
Five trajectories.One conviction.
The Long Game was born from a shared restlessness: the tools organizations use to think about the future are no longer sufficient for the present we live in.
It wasn't a market decision. It was a response to an intellectual urgency — the perception that Strategic Foresight, Speculative Design and Storytelling, when integrated, produce something none of them can achieve alone: actionable strategic clarity.
We brought together five radically different intelligences: an institutional futurist, an anthropologist and futures alchemist, an imagination designer, a narrative architect, a generative systems designer. The difference did not prove a problem — it gave us a method.
"Collective intelligence is not merely a gathering of people. It is a complex architecture of thought."
The five intelligences
The collective.

Future Horizon Orchestrator
PAULO CARVALHO
Founder and CEO of the think tank and consultancy IF Insight & Foresight. Advisor to the World Economic Forum, European Commission, Joint Research Center and European Environmental Agency in Strategic Foresight and Innovation. Built his career at the frontier between long-term public policy and organizational strategy — where foresight stops being an academic exercise and becomes a decision instrument.
"Foresight isn't about seeing the future. It's about expanding the field of possibilities before the market does it for you."

Deep Futures Alchemist
Chico Araújo
Anthropologist and futurist. Consultant in strategic foresight, innovation strategy and social impact. Expert at Singularity University (USA). Former Senior Head of Futures and Open Innovation at Banco Santander, Innovation Director at Viva Rio and Senior Research Consultant at FGV. Combines anthropological rigor with speculative thinking to reveal what data doesn't show: futures that don't have names yet.
"Technology accelerates. Humanity decides what to do with that speed."

Visionary Imagination Speculator
Mario Rosa
Director at ABEDesign, Head of Culture & Learning at ioasys, advisor to the World Creativity Organization, specialist in learning experiences and desirable futures design. Award-winning work for the Rio 2016 Olympic and Paralympic brand. Works at the frontier of design, imagination and learning — turning abstract futures into experiences the body recognizes before the mind does.
"Imagination is not the opposite of strategy. It is its most radical extension."

Narrative Architect
Luiz Telles
Storyteller with over 20 years of experience. Master in visual poetics and specialist in graphic design. Co-founder and Chief Story Officer of A-LAB, National Director of Storytelling and Innovation at Artplan. Builds bridges between what an organization thinks about itself and what the world can feel about it.
"An organization that doesn't know how to tell its story cannot build its future."

Generative Systems Designer
Andre Bello
Keynote speaker, author and professor. TEDx Organizer and TEDx Speaker. Co-founder of Singularity University Brazil Summit. Professor at the Center for Strategic Intelligence (COPPE-UFRJ) in Brazil and at ISEG and Lisbon Digital School in Portugal. Operates at the intersection of generative systems, education and foresight — designing environments where long-term strategic thinking becomes organizational capability.
"Complex systems are not controlled. They are cultivated."
What we believe
FUNDAMENTALS OFEVERYTHING WE DO.
THE PRESENT IS COLLAPSING.
The world accelerates, certainties break and planning based only on the past has become insufficient. We don't see this as a threat. We see it as the most strategic data available to those who know how to read it.
The future is a field, not a destination.
The future is not a fixed point to be predicted or planned with precision. It is a territory of possibilities that expands or contracts according to present decisions. Our work is to expand that field — not reduce it to a bet.
IMAGINATION AS A STRATEGIC TOOL.
The ability to imagine alternative futures is not a creative privilege. It is a competitive advantage. Organizations that cultivate strategic imagination make bolder, more resilient and more relevant decisions.
Futures that are not felt do not last.
It is not enough to build an intellectually coherent vision of the future. It needs to be felt, embodied, narrated. A future that doesn't move people doesn't move organizations.
Where we are
TWO STRATEGIC ECOSYSTEMS.
The Long Game operates simultaneously in two relevant strategic ecosystems: Brazil and Europe. This is not symbolic presence. It's where our networks live, where our intelligences were formed and where our projects are born.
Brazil
SÃO PAULO
Strategy and corporate innovation hub. Latin America's largest applied foresight market.
Portugal
Lisbon
Gateway to the European ecosystem. Convergence point between Iberian and global futures.
